I always start with the faces and work my way out.
I use Prismacolor pencils on colored drawing paper and I build up (layer) the colors in slow light steps.
After having taken a break, I decided the shoulder of Max's arm was too black. I removed some of the color with an electric eraser.
With light pencil strokes I slowly mapm the patterns in their fur.
Beginning to add in the quilt background.
